Neighbours venting into my garden without permission

    Very difficult .... as the previous owner (noted, a relative) may have given the neighbour permission for the vent and the overhanging guttering. Or, either/both may have been in place long enough, without objection, for the neighbour to have acquired the right to have both "use" your land. Tread carefully.

    You may end up having to make the best of what is there i.e. allow the overhanging guttering, but ensure it causes no nuisance. Ditto the vent - could the vent be "piped" with a 90° angle pointing up to redivert the smell?

    Perhaps worth considering if there a compromise which can be achieved without creating bad feeling and too much expense.
    Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac ;)
