I won paypal claim - have to return but....

I bought something on ebay for my unborn child and when it arrived it was in a very sorry state and not as described in the listing, anyway i put in a claim with paypal as it was for a lot of money, as the seller didnt reply to any emails.

Paypal have got back to me today and agree that it wasnt as described and requested that i return the item - fair enough - they can gladly have it back.

Paypal say that they will refund my money once i have provided them with the tracking details and once they can prove it has been delivered.

So my query is what if the buyer refuses to accept delivery and it gets returned to me?

Will i loose my claim or will paypal be able to see that i have tried to send the item.

I am taking photos of the item now as i did when it arrived and will also take a picture of it leaving with the courier. Sounds daft but if it gets lost, damaged in transit or anything else is said i want as much proof as possible, to cover myself as it is a lot of money.

I really dont want to pay out for a courier and then have the item reappear on my doorstep in a few days / weeks. For paypal to then close the claim as it wasnt returned to the seller within paypal's time limit.

I've never had to put a claim in with paypal before so i dont know how it works.

I hope the above makes sense.

If the seller refuses delivery, it will show up on the tracking number as delivery refused, so you win and get your refund.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
