i had a similar experience. i was told that i may have to pay a small fee of about £50 if a loan claim was successful and that yes it could be paid in installments- it was, the bank repaid it onto my frozen loan account then EC whacked a £1000 bill at my feet! Having no spare cash myself i fought tooth and nail to let them repay it in installments, then they kept treatening court and changing advisors, saying i was not paying(i had a standing order so could not miss them),they also ignored my instructions to only contact via email and kept sending texts to a no i no longer used(my friend had the sim!)
  • Do not touch Empire Claims with a barge pole. They are a disgusting company, that are little more than rude bully boys. I paid them in full in 2010, and then 20 months later ( may 2012) they wrote to me saying I owed them money. I have kept all the letters and e-mils from them and as the debt was paid as a direct debet I have bank statments to prove I have paid them. I have writen to them to say this. I somehow don't think this is the last I have heard of them. A dreadful company I wish I had never had anything to do with.
  • They are handling our mortgage PPI claim, they seem thorough. But I'm not sure how things will pan out? Anyone else had any good/bad experiences?
  • Oh my, I've just seen the rest of the posts!!
