I know - Hometrack actually say that sellers are achieving 91.5% of their asking price.The proportion of asking price being achieved has also increased - for the fourth month in a row - from 88.3% in February 2009 to the current 91%.
The report is also a month old - so it could be different now compared to the end of June.

Are you calling Hometrack liars?0 -
For the benefit of the hard of understanding, the Guardian printed;
"the number of sellers achieving their asking price has continued to grow. It rose to 91.5% in July from a low of 88.3% in January."
Hometrack actually printed;
"The proportion of the asking price achieved rose to 91% in June from a recent low of 88.3%. As long as this measure remains below 93% prices are likely to remain static or under downward pressure."
In addition to what BBB has already provided, which was;
"The proportion of asking price being achieved has also increased - for the fourth month in a row - from 88.3% in February 2009 to the current 91%."
No-one has called Hometrack liars, the point of the thread was to confirm the Guardian's shoddy reputation for reporting facts accurately.0 -

91% of sellers are achieving their asking price is quite high - why would this be a mistake?
the time to sell is looking pretty impressive too - only one week from being at 2006 levels and a 2 from 2003/2004
