Sorry not got time to search right now...if I get £9k transferred from my Skycard to Egg Money, can I still withdraw it to my current account? I'm not sure what the situation is now as this is an old, not been used in ages account. I need a way to get the cash out of the Sky card.
Egg card is clear with a positive balance of a few quid btw.

Send Egg a secure message and ask.
I have a feeling that they will now charge you for withdrawing the money.0 -
They won't charge you for withdrawing from a positive balance provided it doesn't create a negative balance.
When you get time to search you'll find a post I made confirming with extract of secure message from Egg.
To be doubly sure applies to your own card, do as MUFC says with the secure message."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -
Thank you for the replies. As it happens, an alternative has emerged so Egg wont be needed after all.Herman - MP for all!0

Didn't egg change their T&C and introduce a 3% fee on cash withdrawals when they phased out their positive balance interest rates? I'm sure I've read on here somebody being charged that fee to get their own money back."Click the pennies. Collect the pounds."0

Withdrawing funds through their online banking isn't the same as withdrawing funds from an ATM.
You can put the Egg Money card (old and new flavours) into a positive balance to supplement the meagre credit limits for larger purchases. Either by balance transfer or making a payment. Provided you don't create a negative balance, you can move funds back to your current accounts.
To quote a secure message I had confirming this for someone recently
You will not get a fee for returning the funds into your bank account."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -
Actually its much worse than that I think.
I believe that you can still withdraw cash on any positive balances that you have with Egg without incuring a fee
Up until they April if I ever withdrew Cash on a negative balance I used to incur a 'Minimum Finance Fee of around 50p ... nothing to worry about and it didn't bother me. However, since April they've wacked a whopping £3 per cash withdrawl transaction on the charges. These are the fees I've incurred;
Jan: 50p
Feb: 50p
Mar: 50p
Apr: 50
May: £9.00
June: £15.00
July: £??.??
Needless to say its time that I set up alternative means of withdrawing cash.
I think this should be flagged up as its quite a stealth change ... (furthermore ... it appears that the cash charges dont appear on your current spending - only on previous months statements. I watch mine as I go along so it was only by chance that I looked at my previous statements!

Nothing stealth about it at all if you read the emails that they send you in advance of change in conditions and by the side of the statement page when you log in.0

Fair enough ...
I didn't spot it though ... I usually scan through what they tell me but dont sit down and read all the T&Cs. I've not seen any other reference on hear so suppose some other people could have been caught out too.0 -

Because there are others like yourself, they (all providers?) now conveniently summarise the main changes before giving you the exact legal text to read.
Whilst you could be 'sort of' excused for not reading the legal wording, there's absolutely no excuse for not reading the (often very brief) summary IMHO.I've not seen any other reference on hear so suppose some other people could have been caught out too.0
