WTC - STRONGBOW - help needed

After some advice hubby was left a voice message saying he had won first prize when he rang JJ he said it was 2nd prize, when hubby said voicemail said first, he said it had been a long day first, second third he probably got muddled

Played voice mail back definately says 1st - advice please

Is this the competition for the daily competition? If it is surely they don't ring people for a 2nd place prize so sounds a bit suspicious. I'm sure someone with more experience will be able to give you some advice.

No said if he said first he had made a mistake long day and that stuff.

So hubby has got a cup coming - he is a tad disappointed as big difference between 1st prizes and second

Keep trying, I won a 1st prize the day after the dissapointing 2nd prize call. Hopefully hes just being dumb & you will get a lovely 1st prize through the post.

OH thats not good is it... Is there anyway you can play it back to them? maybe use a house phone and play the answer message back with loudspeaker?

Manna, ring and ask to speak to Pamela. She is wonderful and will go out of her way to help. If you need her contact details PM me. They are a good team at Scottish and Newcastle and I'm sure this one will be quickly resolved.

Not to disappoint you hun, but I had 2 calls for a 3rd prize. They said they did not have my address, and so called...so check if he's replied to their text with the address but yes, I would contact them about it.

I think the problem is the voice message JJ left said 1st prize and left a number when hubby called he was told it was a second he said he had message and JJ said he had probably got it wrong as he had had a long day

If it was just a mistake on the part of the person leaving the message (and let's face it we all make them) I don't see what else you can expect them to do.. No doubt they have loads of people to call and it would be understandable when leaving a voicemail to make a slip like that. Sorry if I'm in the minority viewpoint!

They did call me for a third prize win, even though they had my address, so a tel call does not mean you have won 1st prize.

I disagree, I think they should not feel free to make a mistake like that, it is not like he'd won a hat and they said a mug. They should do their job properly like we pay our money in texts..They should be careful esp when it comes to a first prize!!! although I read somewhere that they stopped 1st prizes??
