What it says on the tin basically. My ds has been alittle star & instead of watching tv or playing on the pc has started to assenble an airfix kit. Unfortunately, he's just realised that he has stuck one of the pieces on the wrong way round. Any suggestions as to how to unstick the pieces please?

Dh says you used to be able to buy a dissolver in model shops, but he can't remember the name off the top of his head - if he remembers I'll let you know0

You could try warming it with a hairdryer. Obviously not hot enough to burn your fingers or melt the plastic. But you should be able to get the glue to soften so you can take the piece off and reglue it.0

I thought airfix glue always used to kinda melt the thing together a bit?0

Airfix glue doesnt stick things together as IDiophreak states it melts the plastic and fuses them together permanatley. There may be something at your local model shop to melt the plastic so you can pull it apart but the model would probably require some filling and sanding to get the parts to match up again properly.
By the way good on your lad for doing something constructive with his time mine has just got into modelling as well and i have to say he has calmed down a hell of alot since doing it instead of blasting the heads of zombies infront of the tv for hrs on end :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
You can get superglue off with nail polish remover but it might not work here - worth a go though, if you're careful.0

Ahh...Takes me back. When I was a lad I found the only way to repair my mistakes once the glue had set was to scratch away with a craft knife until the 2 parts could be separated. It sometimes made a bit of a mess but it could often be disguised with blobs of paint when finishing off.0
