Hi there :j,
Hope everyones ok. Sat down last night and realised that at the age of 19 I am in nearly £9,000 worth of debt. I do not have a job at the moment, for various reasons. My partner is a bin man (or refuse collector as he likes to be called) Anyway to cut a long story short somebody gave him a bag full of records and he has given them to me to sell. I know there is ebay, but I just wondered if anyone knew of any places that buy them off you?
Thankyou in advance
Claire

RECORDS ARE STILL POPULAR WITH COLLECTORS AND DJ'S...
WHAT TYPES OF RECORD ARE THEY? ARTISTS & TITLES ETC.
CONDITION IS ALWAYS IMPORTANT, RECORDS AND SLEEVES. IF THE CONDITION IS NOT THAT GREAT SELLING AS A JOBLOT IS PROBABLY BETTER, UNLESS THERE IS SOMETHING REALLY INTERESTING THERE.
IF IT'S DANCE RECORDS, CHECK ON WWW.HTFR.COM AND SEE PRICES.
OTHER THAN THAT GUMTREE IS AN OPTION.
EBAY IS GOOD, BUT BEAR IN MIND POSTAGE COSTS AS THEY ARE HEAVY, COLLECTION IS GOOD FOR JOB LOTS.
HOPE THIS HELPS?

there is 19 classic music ones fir instance Tchaikovskys swan lake ballet suite
then there is hits of the 60s, Neil Diamond sweet caroline, Barbara Streisand Love songs, Abba greatest hits,15 tearjerkers, Walt Disneys Christmas Favourites and a lionel Ritchie one and about 4/5 other ones not worth mentioning i dont think:A0 -
Not too sure about the classical ones but the others i see a lot of in charity shops. Someone will probably want them as a job lot or maybe at a bootsale.
Cheers.:d0 -
Ok then thanks might have to go for the job lot on ebay. The weathers not been to good for Carboots at the moments thanks:A0

Id definately think youll do better at a car boot, if you could fetch a quid each youll do ok. We buy a lot of records for OHs collection and some to sell from boot sales, and honestly the value is really low for the sort of things youve got, its mad how many copies there are of what you have ( and us too!) at bootsales.
If you search on here for Vinyl youll find a similar thread I asked not so long ago. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Thankyou Lynzpower, I always forget to search first I shall look now
Thankyou again:A0 -
Claire if you want to send me a pm with the list of what youve got, Ill ask OH ( the empire buuilder) to take a look over the list to see if youve got anything special> if youlike?? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? After struggling to get any interest at all for a selection of LPs on Ebay I accepted a 'job lot' offer from a dealer that worked out around 50p each. IMHO there's no money in run of the mill LPs. Just look at the prices achieved on Ebay, and the loads that didn't sell.0

Thats a shame I found loads of old classical records in a shed at a house I rent out. Was hoping they were worth something

Oh well
