Boot Sales: What was your best find this weekend?

Hi,

Apologizes if there is a thread like this....

I am interested in what good finds people have found at the bootsales this weekend (if any)?

My local didn't have much today. :(

Although got a very nice brand new pink top for £1.50! :j

Carrie :)

I was actually selling this morning (good girl), but did get to walk around a bit. I only bought one item - a little stone figure of a cartoon horse. It is so cute and I crack up everytime I look at it. The amount of laughter I got out of it was worth the 50p.

I got a new breadmaker (still in box and the bits are sealed in polythene) for £5 They said they thought it was a deep fat fryer when they bought it so their mistake is my gain So I will be on the oldstyle board all day looking for recipes :j

Found myself a fender squier guitar, they wanted £15 but I haggled down to £10 :) The neck is terrible and will need replacing but the body and pickups are pretty decent, will make a nice little mess around practice guitar me thinks :D

I love the smell of baked bread too :)
    I'm better off without you.

I had a clearout and sold on Sunday and made £70

Got myself a brand new pair of Oasis shoes for 50p. Bargain
  • I went with very little money (about £5 to spare) and still managed to come home with some bargains, including an early 1930s illustrated dictionary (falling apart but still quite fascinating) for 50p, an Alvin Stardust (I know, how sad am I?) CD for 20p, a chintz biscuit tin (c.1930s) for 30p, and an old leather bag which I plan to repair, polish and sell on eBay, also 30p.

I bought about 300 knitting patterns for £3.50. Judging by the hairstyles they are from the `1980's, all very Duran Duran, but by using modern wool, should get some really nice things out of them.

I bought my daughter 2 jigsaws, disney princess ones which are usually £4.99 and £7.99 each. Got them for 30p each - immaculate condition.
