Abbey Fixed Rate Monthly Saver ~

Just to confirm, if you open a new Abbey 6% current account and use their switching process to move all the direct debits, etc. you then get access to a 6% 'normal' regular saver without having to invest the same amount in an investment product as per the SFRMS?
Edit: Finally found the details by digging around on their website: http://www.abbey.com/csgs/Satellite?appID=abbey.internet.Abbeycom&canal=CABBEYCOM&cid=1210610652480&empr=Abbeycom&leng=en_GB&pagename=Abbeycom%2FPage%2FWC_ACOM_TemplateB20 -
I've just applied for the current account in order to get the 6% on the first £2500. I'd intended to then open a SFRMS to get 6% on that as well.
But just seen this on the abbey website "Super Fixed Rate Monthly Saver Account 6.00% gross p.a./AER. .... You must not hold or have held an Alliance & Leicester, Abbey Cahoot or Cater Allen current account in the three months before the application."
So looks like I'll just get the current account and use is to move money back and forth to the Halifax reward accounts we have.0 -
Hi, does anyone know if customers who have switched previously (i.e. opened an account in early July, before this 6% offer kicks in) will be eligible?0
