Send them a fake voucher to get £200 off a fence, and all they have to do is email their full details to...

Or 192.com might bring up some free entries.

Other than that, just try google and random searches.

I am still struggling to get the surname of these people. I can't really issue a court order without a surname?

This is a horrible situation to be in.
We recently replaced our fence that our neighbour agreed to go halves with if it was done by an established company (previous fence blew down every other year!), and it cost £450 between us and her. Luckily she paid up no problem but there was a moment when I thought she might not as she was on holiday!!
Anyway, I looked into it just in case and I'm sure I read somewhere that if there is a fence and it is your responsibilty then you must maintain it, however there is no requirement to have a fence, is this right? If so I'd take it down and tell them to stuff it, and maybe leave your garden really messy over the winter, oh and leave bright lights on that will shine into their house at night time.

:) trust me the thought has crossed my mind many times, but we do have any bad bones in our bodies. The actual boundary is in fact on the neighbours side. Even though the neighbour offered to meet the full cost we still suggested going halves, but to date not a penny has been forthcoming. I will issue a court order at some point as they have gone completely silent on the issue .. but I need their surname which so far i can't find anywhere. We are talking £550 so not small change, but now this is a matter of principal. Funny they were lovely chatty people before & during the fence replacement. The job was done professionally too.

    Principles can be expensive.

I'd be glad that the next door neighbour has acknowledged that (a) you now own the fence and (b) it is in the correct place.
The amount of problems you read about on here and other sites regarding boundary disputes makes your hair stand on end.
