in Credit cards
Not sure how many people would have applied in the last week, or how many people will read this since its Bank Holiday weekend, but.....
Last sunday, I applied. The credit check was done on monday and I was accepted and sent my card. The deal is 0% for 10 months with the important bit being NO HANDLING FEE.
As of (at least) Thursday 13th April, this had changed to an uncapped 2.5% fee.
My advice would be to check your credit card terms and conditions when the card comes through (on the back of the form the card is attached to). On the back of mine, it confirms there is no handling fee. If on the back of yours it says that there is a fee, then tell them that there was no handling fee attaches when you were accepted and kick up a fuss.

I actually phoned them on Thursday 13th to do the balance transfer, and the adviser mentioned it without any prompting from me (also mentioned a 6.9% life of balance rate too).
This leaves me to assume it's all on their systems...although I did apply well before 9th April.
I can't remember when I last paid interest on my cards....all thanks to that bloke in the top left corner of your screen :j0 -
It might be on their systems, but it says on my terms and conditions that there is no handling fee. I encourage others to tell them the same.0

T&C's ok on back of letter with my card received saturday. Limit a bit low but 90% of it is just enough to cover my BT so will call them later this week to arrange.0
