    Hi SuzieQ
I am getting married in May 2010 in Sorrento, Italy and I can't wait either :j:j:j

Duh, sorry SW, I thought I'd replied to you too. I'm sooo envious of you getting married in Italy, we love it there too, and I actually don't know why we didn't consider it, lol! Funnily, when we get asked where we're getting married, and we say Santorini, most people say "ooooh, Italy, lovely" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Up until about 6 mths ago, my Mum thought I meant Sorrento but was pronouncing it wrong :rotfl:

moneysaver 12 - amazing destination!!! My friend got married in the Sandals resort there last year, it was just stunning (not that I went, from the pics I mean). Have you got much left to do?

kaz - *faints* 5 weeks ago?!?! I can't imagine you have time to think about anything but? :D I'm already stressing about mine, and it's been in planning for a year, and still got 10 mths to go :rotfl:I can't see any of your links though, except the flowers, which are just gorgeous! Can you repost the others? I'd love to see your dress!

Can anyone else post a pic of their dress? Here's mine (not having this train though).... :smileyhea (sorry it's huge) :oPapillon-B.jpg

LucyB - not long for you either! And have you much left to do? Where in Cyprus are you getting married? We considered there too, it's so much more gorgeous than I imagined! :D
If you have good thoughts, they'll shine out of your face like sunbeams & you'll always look lovely.

And if so, when and where?

    We're getting married in Santorini, Greece on June 12 2010, and I can't WAIT!!! :T :j :T :j

Am not personally but I attended a Greek wedding last year, and wondered if you were having some of the greek traditions, I particularly like the pinning of large denomination bank notes to the grooms suit.

We're getting married in Ayia Napa, it looks beautiful i can't wait! We did look at Greece first and actually went to book it, we had a problem with first choice who said they could'nt book it there and then, so we went off to Thomas Cook and they recommended Cyprus! Just hope the Thomas Cook wedding package is going to be ok as i've heard some bad stories about them :undecided Not got much left to do, just basic kind of holiday stuff to sort, car parking, holiday clothes that kind of thing really :D

Your dress looks amazing btw, i'm stressing about how im getting mine to Cyprus without it getting creased to hell...hmmm x

We would love to get married abroad, been looking at Lake Garda and Venice. We adore Venice as been there lots, got engaged there and it makes sense to get married there but I prefer the backdrop of the mountains and lake....

Then there is the gran issue. We both want our one remaining grandparent to come which would mean to get married here and we just can't make our mind up ... having real problems trying to decide.....

Santorini sounds lovely - have you booked it through a TA? We are using Thomsons and am a bit worried as have heard some real horror stories....so far everything seems to be ok apart from having to wait for the wedding date confirmation

We had the gran issue as well. I don't really see my dads parents but am close to my mums mum. At first she said she would come to Italy but then when she had chance to think about it she changed her mind. She said that she was just happy for us to have the wedding we wanted and as long as I showed her the dress she would be happy - bless her

Hi Sparklewitch, tbh we haven't asked her its more of a 'we' want her there thing. I lost my grandmother in January and am absolutley gutted she won't be there so would like at least Gran Kelly to be there.

Do you mind me asking how much your sorrento wedding was? trying to get proper prices for Venice etc and its ridiculous how much they differ by.

    Thanks

Sorry to hear about your grandmother, hope Gran Kelly will be able to make it and I'm sure yours will be watching with pride....

The wedding package is costing £765 and that includes translator, paperwork, venue, cake, brides flowers/buttonhole, sparkling wine and pretty much all we need.
Had a phonecall confirming the date this morning - am very excited :j
