A company recently contacted me asking for £150 so they could reclaim/freeze interest on my mortgage and bank loans. Not sure what this is about is there anything I can do for myself? Have already set wheels in motion to get back bank/credit card charges. Is this something different?

Has this cold calling company got information about your loans and mortgages that has allowed them to research whether you fall into the small minority of cases where that sort of thing is possible? Hardly any mortgages have had any success. So, the minute they mention its possible with mortgages then you need to be on guard as to whether you are being ripped off by a claims company making false claims in an attempt to get an up front fee off you.

Quite a few posts are starting to appear from people where claims companies keep coming back for more money to get it to the next stage and much of that money is non refundable and there is still not enough evidence that it is likely to succeed.
