Payment Made in Error

I have recently been made redundant from a company that is in administration and hence I received no redundancy nor lieu of notice payments.

I am pursuing payments through both the govt and as a creditor of the company however I have just received my normal monthly wages despite no longer being employed by the company.

My question is am I legally obliged to return this money? My view is that as the company failed to pay my contracted redundancy (over £30,000) I should be able to keep this money and net if off any subsequent settlement.

any advice appreciated

You need to discuss this with the Offcial Receiver for the company
  • Thanks lonestar however I'm trying to find out my rights before having such discussions.

Just to clarify, the company is only in administration and still trading, i.e. it is not in liquidation.
