Not received Sky M&S vouchers

In May I saw on this website that Sky were offering £50 M&S vouchers if you signed up to Sky+ before a certain date. I did and I have the email confirming this saying the vouchers will be sent to me 30 days after Sky is installed. I had it installed in May and the vouchers still haven't arrived despite me emailing them and calling them. When I call I get fobbed off and they simply haven't replied to my email. Is there anyone else out there who still hasn't received vouchers from Sky? I've done a Google search and it seems to have been a common problem in the past but there are no recent posts for this year so I'm wondering if its just me. Does anyone know what my rights are and how I'm best going about getting my vouchers. Its a matter of principal now!

Mine were delivered by recorded delivery so surely they must be able to tell you if they have been sent.
I would send a letter recorded delivery to their head office stating that this was part of the reason that you signed up and that this offer formed part of the contract.0 -
I signed up to Sky sometime around April after seeing details of a free offer on MSE but never got any of the vouchers. Like you I'd heard that a lot of people didn't get theirs, so just didn't bother pursuing it as I couldn't stand the thought of spending time & money on phone calls to them & getting fobbed off. I can do without uneccessary stress & was pleased enough to get Sky+ installed completely free.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Thanks for your replies guys. Well to be honest it was one of the reasons I chose Sky because I thought it was a great offer. We had moved house and the £50 vouchers would come in really handy, plus we've wanted Sky for ages and thought the offer made the ideal time to get it. I feel a bit more positive knowing that OlliesDad has received the vouchers but unlike Cattie I don't want to just sit back and let Sky get away with it (although I do understand your reasons because the free Sky+ is great if you're not bothered about the £50!) Like you say Cattie, you can spend just as much by waiting on the phone being passed from pillar to post which is why I'm not prepared to do it. I just wondered if there was another more effective way, perhaps I will try writing to HO like OlliesDad said.0

My girlfriend has also had this whole 28 days for delivery crap that they send, she applied for it in december, and is still waiting. They emailed saying they had sent it on the 24 of march stating please allow 28 days for delivery but thats about it and she knows it is rubbish. As it was part of the reason she joined can she rightfully withold payment of her bill until she receives it? I think if they can send the bill within 2 days why not the voucher?0

I ended up receiving my vouchers and I'll tell you how. I emailed them for the umpteenth time to be told I'm sorry we have no record of this deal with the M&S vouchers, it doesn't say on our system you are entitled to them so I'm sorry but we can't send you any. I replied by saying if I don't receive my vouchers within the next 7 days I will contact the Advertising Standards Authority as I felt Sky's promotion of the free M&S vouchers was therefore advertising something which was not available. I received the vouchers in the post a couple of days later! I can't believe a company as big as Sky are trying to dupe people in this way but I think they assume that most people will forget about it a month later or that most people simply can't be bothered to spend the time chasing them up. WRONG!!! Tell you girlfrield to do this and hopefully she'll have them in no time. Good luck and don't let them get away with it!0

Yep same thing, i signed up in July 09, emailed 4 times, each time said they sent them but nothing. just phoned up today, 9 months later, and the Sky lady kindly credited my account £50, but still they must rely on most people not bothering to chase it up!Life is one long project0

My vouchers came within 2 weeks i had to sign for them this was back in 2008 they arrived just before xmas so that was a few presents sorted.Jan Wins: .0

We received our M&S vouchers after chasing - took about a month or so. They didn't send any to my brother who referred us to Sky - so he complained and then ended up receiving £100's worth eventually!0
