Who's fitting it? This is notifiable work under Part P.
Why not let your sparky supply and fit a brand he's happy with? P's me off no end when punters try and do my job and save buttons on the CU, which takes me longer to wire - thus at a higher overall cost than me supplying what I'm happy working on and can install quicker!!0 -

'cos the perception, rightly or wrongly, is that 9 times out of 10 he/she'll rip you off.
Not intended to be a criticism of you personally, but I'd resent paying £200 for a consumer unit when they're £80 at B&Q. I've known a sparky charge £15 for a MK Sentry MCB (plus time for going to the shop to buy it).0 -
All I was trying to findout if this product was good or not..if people had used it etc Regardless of who is going to fit it !"The time is always right to do what is right"0

It would appear from the questions you are asking here and elsewhere (Ultimate HandyMan) that it is your intention to do this work yourself. I respectfully suggest that given the nature of your questions both here and over there, and your evident lack of skill and knowledge, that you are better leaving such safety critical work to a professional electrician. I'm sure your house insurance wouldn't look too kindly on a claim when you burn your house down.
Oh and, seeing as you asked, Niglon is a no-name badged piece of Chinese tat that your "wholesaler" makes a massive margin on. Buy something decent like MK or Wylex or even Hager, GE, or Volex if you are on tight budget, IMO SquareD is passable but a bit cheap & nasty feeling . Avoid the cheapest "no-name" brands like CED & CTI like the plague. But then again, your friendly local electrician could tell you all this!0
