The Muller Rice has sealed foil lids- if they are still flat then the contents should be fine - sniff to check.
If the lid has a domed appearance then the chances are that the contents have started to ferment/go off - lid to bin, contents to compost and washed pot to recycling!
I completely agree with the 'sniff and eat' philiosophy, waste not want not!
But... dairy in a compost heap? Sure fire recipe for rats isn't it?
(And I always recycle foil - yoghurt pot lids, milk bottle tops etc - my local tip has a collection box for foil with the collection proceeds to the local hospice)0 -
i'd usually give milk type stuff a week, and a good sniff. It only takes a second to say 'Thanks, you just saved me a few quid!'
