It's funny - I have now become obsessed with debt busting and have been looking at the next 2- 3 years ahead and planning how the debt is going to go down
Does anyone ever look back and think - what was I thinking running up all that debt - where did I think the money was coming from?
I have had a great realisation today that if all goes to plan I will never owe this much again and I will clear it all. I think until now - ever since being a student - I have just treated debt as something we have and there is no option
I know that is not so nowBack to comping! July wins: Frylight August wins: Pixar DVD, Diesel Watch,£75 hamper brioche products September wins bath soak

Morning Geranium
I look back and recall not thinking much at all. Total denial about what I was doing. I don't think I understood. In the late 80's when we bought our first flat we rented a van and furnished it entirely on our CC ! Sofa, bed, fridge! Crazy ! I was on a very good wage had just turned 19. I just didn't have a clue.

Thanks DC - I think you are right
I also think a lot of us on here have very addictive personality types - I don't include people who got in debt through ilness or losing a job but those of us who did it through overspending, gambling, drinking etc.
That's also probably why those type of people are extremely good at the debt busting once they get a grip - it's replacing the addiction for an altogether financially healthier one - just my musings.................
Anyway - onwards and upwards
Off to work soon - need to make lunch to takeBack to comping! July wins: Frylight August wins: Pixar DVD, Diesel Watch,£75 hamper brioche products September wins bath soak

I'm definitely addicted to the debtbusting side of it.......it is a bit of on obsession. Not always a good one because if I DO spend money on anything frivilous, I feel very bad about doing so when the money could have reduced the debt a bit.
also, I know my OH would prefer me to cut the debtbusting slack a bit so we could spend some of the money I currently make on MSE stuff on doing nice things rather than paying the debt a bit more
I just keep saying - next year we can do the fun stuff......Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
