There are several reasons why a website doesn't appear in the browser. What does appear? I'm hoping there is an error message which should give a clue what the problem is.

Well to start debugging that sort of problem you need a tracert

I found these instructions for that on a Mac ...

    http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/63961/using_the_tracert_command_to_trace.html

The first thing is does it resolve the url into an IP address - I assume it must or you'd see a different error.

What ISP are you with? You could check the ISP specific section of http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/ to see if others are complaining about the same thing.

have you checked your internet security settings, in IE you go tools>Internet Options click security tab and make sure its on medium and not set high, if its high it may be your browser stopping you accessing certain sites for protection

Read the OP... he uses Safari on a Mac...

OP check your settings, do you connect via a router to broadband?

It could be a router setting blocking the site, it could be an issue with your ISP, it could be a domain name issue on your Mac...
