Company Credit Card bad credit rating

My company are planning to give me a corporate credit card but i have just this month finished a Trust Deed so i will have a very bad credit rating if any at all. Will the credit card company do a credit check on ME. I don't want to be embarrassed in front of my employers the first week of my promotion?

I had a company credit card even though I had a pretty bad credit history at the time. I am pretty sure the credit check is against the company rather than it's card holders as it's the company who will be paying the bills.

I might be totally wrong but I think that's how it works.

It is - the company's responsible for the debt. Your credit report isn't searched for company cards.

Though company is responsible for the repayment or bad credit but you should always try to maintain your credit payment regularly for what ever credit card you are using

Slightly different arrangement andrewsmith121, his obligation is with his employer not to misuse and abuse the card in line company policy, or face disciplinary procedings (supplying receipts, purchasing of alcohol etc).

His company finance department will be solely responsible for maintaining credit payments against his card, not the individual.
