bank charges advice in scotland

hi guys
im looking for advice to see if it possiable to try claim bank chargers from bank of scotland
does it have to be certain type charges? like if i didnt have funds to pay direct debit etc?
and if i was sucessful does the bank close ur bank account?
any any advice how to get started ive no idea were to start

  • You can claim the money and the account isn't closed. You can claim back to 27th July 2001. Unpaid items, referral fees, overlimit fees are all reclaimable

    do u know how i can check my hubby s old bank account with same branch we both had seprate accounts mines is still open and is my current account but he closed his few years bk but we have info on account number?

    You can't check his account but he can.

    Always start the process of reclaiming or you could be waiting a LONG time ;)

    do i need to be in hardship to claim as my bank acc is ok at mo ,mean not loaded but not not skint if that makes any sence money i get just lasts wk to wk:rolleyes:

    No, the bank will put your claim on hold until the outcome of the OFT test case, but it will then be in the queue
