hi i wud like to know if anyone knows how to check the energy compnies price tariff i.e. how much they charge for the 1st kwh and then how much after, thinking of switching supplier but dont know who the cheapest is from what i know scottish power for the 1st 4572 cost 4pence then after cost 2.9 brtish gas cost 22.10 lol forgot the units but they said they were the cheapest and will give me £25 pounds as i am homecare customer. cheers

don't go just by the actual unit prices, look at the total cost for the year.
if it's BG you want look at their 2 best tariffs, their Track and Save or websaver 3, forget the £25 unless of course you only spend £50pa.
if you have old bills look back at your total usage over a year & do your comparisons based on that, it's much more accurate. If you don't have old bills just phone the suppliers and ask for them.
then go to a couple of comparison sites enter the usage and see what is the best for you.
just be careful of ones that force you to stay for a year to get the final discount NPower are bad for that.0 -
hi thanks for ur reply i dont judge per annual consumption as it varies a lot, when my unlces and aunties stay its a lot but when they dont its not i.e. last year my gas bill for 3 months (winter bill) was £279 whereas the year before that it was over £400.0
