Northern Rock are replacing all ATM cards with Visa debit - no questions asked according to the insert sent with my last statement

It does not mention whether they will have cheque guarantee or not

I already have the £50 cheque guarantee / Visa debit

    BBVA are on the prowl

Here is a copy of the letter received from Northern Rock

Details of arrangements for existing cheque guarantee holders were on the reverse of the letter - basically cheque guarantee will be removed upon expiry

I opened this accout recently and the card is on the way but i just called and asked if i will get a debit card & they said it will only be ATM. I did not mention that i saw this letter so hopefully it will be upgraded anyway by september if i just keep hold of it.

I doubt it'll be sold in a hurry anyway. Especially if they're bothering with the cost and hassle of changing to debit cards....unless that makes it easier to sell.
