Fake handbag!! omg

I bought what was described as a genuine Bally handbag in brand new condition, no marks inside or out.
I suspect this bag is a fake because:
1. The metal hardware (rings on straps) looks cheap and tacky. It does not have the feel or look of an expensive handbag
2. The stitching on the strap is very wonky - this would never happen with a designer bag
3. The clasp closure is cheap and flimsy
4. There was a gold ''Bally'' badge inside the bag. This slipped out and is simply a bally badge pinned in to the bag!
5. None of the zips have an Bally detailing
7. There is no Bally label inside/anything that would suggest this was made by Bally
fyi - my mother has had many Bally bags and you can just tell if a bag is the genuine thing or not!
8. there are marks inside and outside the bag
What can I do? Can i get a full refund + postage?
I feel so cheated and angry =/

Report to paypal, explain that it's a fake and you should be fine. But they might ask for a police report sometimes (i've heard of other people being asked police reports by paypal). I don't think you need to send it back if it's a fake, and you should get all your money back.
Out of curiosity, did you pay a price close to the retail value of the original, or was it a cheap BIN?0 -
No, I didn't pay near to the retail value. It was not a BINGuinness_is_good_for_you wrote: »Report to paypal, explain that it's a fake and you should be fine. You might also need a proper dealer or someone to verify it is a fake.0

Can you take it to your nearest retailer to ask if they will verify it as fake?
If the item is fake (and you have proof), then instead of sending it back, it should be destroyed by trading standards.
Open a dispute on ebay, show them the proof that it's fake, and you should get a full refund (inc postage) and not have to send it back.
Ebay are a bit !!!!!! regarding fakes, so you may have to pay tracked delivery to send it back.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
You shouldn't have to send it back, they normally just tell you to destroy it - but as pinkshoes says, sometimes ebay and paypal are stupidUndergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0
