B&Q Credit Note - can I still get a refund?

Hi.
I have a B&Q credit note worth almost 140 pounds.
I would like to cash it and was thinking that could buy something using this note so I would have a valid receipt. Few days later I would return it. Would I get cash back or another credit note?

Sorry but you would get another credit note. When my dad got a 80ish pence credit note from a pack of screws he used it on about £20s worth of stuff, but then changed his mind, and wanted to return the stuff, but the wouldn't give him cash, as he has used a credit note, they gave him the £20 back on another credit note, even though he had payed cash on the other £19!0

Gift cards/ notes do sell very well on ebay, I have seen argos ones sell for a few pennies, yes pence less than there value. Someone bought a £50 voucher for £49.97 about 6 months ago!0
