Ebay Shop and Tax returns?

Hi guys.
I'm looking into setting up an ebay shop, just a little shop for a cottage industry selling cards and such. Will never make my living doing this sort of thing, you know?
A friend has mentionned that I will need to fill in a SA Tax Return if I do set this up. Is that true for the tiny bit of income it will generate?
I am a student and therefore on a student tax code with my employers, if this helps any.

If you are buying to resell or making to sell you need to register as a business with HMRC. I'd suggest contacting them or an accountant. It could actually be beneficial to you to be registered but professional advice is much better than anyone anonymous on the internet.
Your local citizen's advice bureau would be able o help or point you in the right direction too..0
