IE6 new window size

When I open IE6 from the icon it opens full size but if I click on a link then the new window is tiny and I have to maximise it. This has only happened in the last week - any ideas on how to get it to open to full or three-quarter size?

Instead of maximising the window, try resizing it by dragging the borders. If that doesn't work, try following the instructions on this page. It's likely that this is being caused by some stupid piece of JavaScript being run on one of the web pages you keep visiting; to stop this from happening in future, you need to prevent your browser from parsing it.
Have you considered using a different web browser? Firefox in particular can be set up to ignore certain JavaScript instructions, including those that change the size of the window.0 -
try google chrome, much better!Kind Regards

I would second that, IE6 doesnt support all the new exciting stuff that is happening in the internet plus there are many security loop holes that hacker may want to exploit.
Please upgrade, it is very simple to do.

Yes I know - I keep nagging my husband but it is his computer that he uses for his work and the various packages are set up for IE6.
I normally use the laptop which is very up to date. I don't often come onto the desktop and when I do I find lots of little annoying things that he just puts up with.
Thanks guys, at least this is one thing that is now sorted -I will have another go at him about IE8.0 -
Why bother? So long as you leave IE6 as the default you could theoretically install every other browser ever made for Windows without breaking anything.
For best results, create a new user account for yourself (Start→Control Panel→User Accounts), log into it and install your browser of choice. With any luck he won't even notice!0
