    Make sure the you've set the paper quality correctly - it's not automatically detected on Epsons.

    If you're using Premium Glossy paper, and the setting is Plain Paper, it gives far too much ink and the results can be dark and oversaturated.

    if you are buying a printer always check the price of the replacement ink cartridges before you go for it. Manufacturers always heavily discount the printers but get you when you need to replace the ink..!!  :o
    Good point. I almost bought a Lexmark until I discovered that a replacement black and colour cartridge cost more than the printer. Bought Epson instead. ;)

    best bit is you get full sized ink catridges right out of the box :D
