May be posted to Germany next year so looking into work prospects now. I am a civil servant and have been for a number of years. Who do I contact, where do i look for civil service vacancies in Germany. Am registered on the Recruitment Gateway but not much stuff comes up on there.
I really want to remain a civil servant, no idea whats available out there though.
Any advice really appreciated.

The MoD is your best (only?) bet for a CS job in Germany, For some strange reason the MoD doesn't advertise on the recruitment gateway, try the MoD's own site here:
https://www.civilianjobs.mod.uk/
atm there aren't any vacancies in Germany
You may be able to get a "career break" from the CS rather than resigning which makes it easier to get a job when you return from Germany0 -
Try quoting the 'Nation's Commitment' command paper - public sector employers are supposed to help Service spouses/civil partners to move post with their Service person.
It would help to get into MOD beforehand - the civilianjobs web page is your most likely bet, but everywhere is shrinking rather than creating posts, so there's not a huge amount about. PM me if you think I can help more.Mortgage Free thanks to ill-health retirement0 -
Go to this web page in work and use HRMS to apply.

Don’t forget the rules have changed for the words you have to put in. It's now 500 as a job history and 1000 for the competencies. Also if your other half is being posted you should get priority like the redeployment pool people.
Good luck.
