I need an Ikea Allen Key

A few years back I bought a bed from Ikea and it came with an Allen Key which allowed me to unscrew stuff at an angle. Basically it was a standard Allen key but with a "blob" (there's probably a slightly more technical term for it!) on the end to get to those hard to reach places.

Last time I moved house I couldn't find the key and taking the bed apart & reassembling was a complete nightmare and took ages.

I'm now about to move house again and would really like to have the proper tool at my disposal for taking the bed apart.

Sooooo, does anyone know the correct term for this type of Allen Key so I can buy one somewhere, or can you get new ones at Ikea?

Thanks very much

It's called a 'ball-end' allen key (if you'll pardon the expression!!). You'll be able to buy one (or a set) from any hardware shop.

Think they are 5mm size, if you call into any IKEA and go to customer service you will get 1 for free.
A thankyou is payment enough .

Sometimes they are just outside the customer services counter area where you just help yourself to spare allen key, screws, etc.

    Thanks guys,

I'm going past an Ikea soon so I'll pop in and grab one.

    Cheers
