Gald you managed it but please post how it happened for the benefit of other posters (ie your experiences with the conveyancing side!)

Is it just me or does anyone else get brassed off when people don't bother to post their experiences which could be of much valuable assistance to others?

Happybird please give something back and let us know how you went about your sale?

Hi, I agree, I have also been going through over two years of hell at the hands of NR, if it wasn't for Blueback originally taking time out to share his experiences and starting this thread I think I would be going out of my mind by now. That's the whole idea of perpetuating a thread such as this which I am sure has been a lifeline for many of us.

    Yep, I agree.

I've lost count of the number of people both myself and others who have taken their own time to help and advise and they can't seem bothered to update their own threads to let you know how they got on.

TBH, I'm losing interest - may as well not bother and just watch the telly...

I agree egg - but it makes me wonder if the people successful in keeping their money are getting harrassed by people? Just a thought as I know Niddy (Never in Doubt) constantly got hassled by debt collection agencies & people who though his unenforceability guidence was unethical, etc.

    Hi Sparkly

I, personally, doubt that is the case as they would most likely be back on these boards seeking further help on that matter.

I, sadly, feel it's more of a case of not being bothered once their own problem is dealt with and failing to see that sharing their experience on here is extremely valuable to others who haven't yet sorted their own problem.

Which I find extremely sad and selfish when, no matter what their circumstances are, they have come here looking for help, received it from people willing to spend time helping, and then just seem to vanish???
  • True. But at least it's showing that the info in this thread DOES work & it's also proving that there are solicitors who actually know what a restriction is..so they aren't impossible to find. In defence of those who don't come back to update, they just moved & perhaps their internet isn't working yet?

However, to those going through this process - please make a point to come back & update us all as soon as possible as this is a vital part of the complete process!

ok, on a recent visit to court where a debt company tried and miserably failed to get a CO or restriction on my home ( because of ex's debt) The duty solicitor who was wise to the consequences of a restriction asked for a NOTICE to be added so I couldn't sell the house without their debt being paid first.
I was gobsmacked as I'd not heard of this one before and I thought I would be able to sell up one day without paying his debt off but anyway I won my case and was awarded costs so I never went further into finding out about these "notices"
