my wife is in hospital for over 2 weeks and could be over 4 weeks .
i have been told her dla will stop afther 4 weeks .
she has a car with motability what happens to the car as the dla pays for her car she also recievces severe disability allowance.
please help thundercat

Just to clarify things, if a DLA customer is in hospital for more than 28 days both mob and care cease to be paid. However is you have a mobility car the mob is left in payment as it would cause no end of problems for the motability people if payments were stopping and starting.
If a person goes into residential care paid for by the local authority, the care stops after 28 days and mob is unaffected.
By the way dont count on the hospital or anyone else to inform DLA about the hospital stay. If it gets to 28 days tell them yourself to stop any overpayments.

It also clearly states:
If some or all of your Disability Living Allowance is paid into the Motability scheme, you may carry on getting this mobility part until the Motability agreement ends
