ammonium alum deodorant

Hi all, I currently use a crystal rock deodorant which is basically a lump of ammonium alum. I'm told it's possible to buy ammonium alum from grocers shops (my cunning plan is to shave off bits of alum, put in a spray bottle, add water and then use as a refillable deodorant spray). Does anyone know where I can buy it as…

I just buy the normal deodorant rocks like you use at the moment - mine come from a local organic/wholefood store (http://www.naturallygoodfood.co.uk/Deodorant/Pitrok_Deodorant_Stone) - but if as you suspect, the un-processed, un-packaged version works out cheaper, I'm all for it
