    My opinion is!!!

I could not care less whether IE is included or not.

Does the original ruling include the linux distros that include browsers?
will the EU start saying that MS Office cannot include WORD for example, as it creates a monopoly for the MS in the WP market.

I am a grown up, i think i have the wherewithal to make a choice. In fact i do not use IE, even though it is installed. nor do i use word, even though i have that installed as part of MS Office.

I do however use OUTLOOK, as this i find is the best email, organiser cliebnt for my needs.
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow.. :p

They'll need to include a provision for installing a browser one way or another or a first time PC buyer will have no way to access the internet.

You need some way to download your browser of choice if it isn't supplied on disk or CD and the simplest solution is to include a browser or an install option to allow that.

Looks like (surprise surprise) the meddling politicians haven't thought things through properly.

I don't have an issue with IE being the default browser on Windows - it gives me the instant capability to go and download Firefox!
