    I dont think be cautious is a bad thing but you seem to have taken a risk when you started to the BTL thing. Not saying a bad risk, just that a lot of people wouldn't have the guts to embark on it anyway.

    Can I just have one more say.

    You sound as though your are happily attached but, what if anything ever happened to split your relationship? Would this have any influence on your decision? It may not be very likely but it is a factor you have to consider.

    I presume your let properties are a means to an end? If you split what would you get out of this?

    Aunty Jean, thanks for your post. All of the BTL's are in joint name and therefore worse case scenario I would be ok.

    Today I also thought about contacting a few training companies and offering to do some freelance housing work. Then if I do decide to leave work I can always do a bit of freelance training or something.

    This might give me the security I need and also "keep my hand in"

    Also give you the confidence that if you don't like managing your properties you can get a job reasonably easily

    Good luck, I say go for it, you are making money for yourself, and not someone else.
