According to THIS article, eBay are to annouce some more changes this Monday.
Items will need be classed as Brand New, Refurbished, Like New etc instead of just New. More changes to listings required, great.
Also they state 'The company will also limit communications between buyers and sellers, a step designed to ease the burden for volume-sellers'
This is interesting as the communication process on eBay is dated and awkward. We sell the same items on Amazon as eBay and yet get about 90% of our communications from eBay customers. Loads of pre-purchase questions, queries, requesting discounts, wheres my item queires etc plus now buyers can add a note to each purchase when checking out we have to manually read each one in case they are asking for something we cannot provide. E.G. we spotted on a purchase made Friday afternoon a note which said "Ive bought this before your 2.30 pm cut off so please ensure that I receive it Saturday morning or I dont want it". We state that courier deliveries are made Monday to Friday and yet the buyer effectively added their own terms to the purchase which could have led to problems if we had not spotted it and phoned the buyer.
Communication issues such as this simply wont wash with the large retailers eBay want to attract who cannot deal with the admin work generated by eBay sales.
Finally, they are going to tell us how Best Match search works - that should be interesting.

That could be interesting, I sell plants so they are all brand new even if I've had them for a year or two growing on.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
