  • You normally get details of a "nil tax code IPA" - where all your tax gets paid to you, and you pay that to MoonBeaver. Seems to be a total waste of time and makes no sense apart from to waste time and effort, but if you've spent the tax cash then they may get a bit funny....

Oh, and your OR should have explained this to you during the interview....

This is a good question, will they demand back pay on that money from the date you were made bankrupt or will payments start when moonbeaver get around to setting up the payment plan?

If you got a nil tax code from your BR last December it should have stopped at the end of the tax year 2009. Your tax code should have been changed back to normal in April this year. Are you saying you are still not having your tax deducted?

    :j :j

  • Also.. Do you pay more than £50 tax a week? If it is under then they most likely wont enforce a nil tax code

Even if the OR didn't explain it at interview, they will have sent you a letter to sign and return - did you receive this?

BTW if you've spent it, they may extend your bankruptcy til it's paid off. My XHTB spent some of the money from his nil tax code and told me that his discharge was held off until he paid it back.
