A design challenge, my pantry...

we have a pantry and it has to be the main storage area as the kitchen is teeny. It's a smallish square (83cm w, 88cm d, 150cm (at lowest point), h)
There isn't anyway to redesign the kitchen to incoporate the pantry and to get rid of it.
Any design ideas? Suggestions? I'm leaning towards 2-3 shelves with pull out drawers for the middle bit. We don't store many tins/canned food. It's mostly dry foods (stocks of rice, pasta, couscous, millet, quinoa etc), spices, home made chutneys and jams. There's a food processor at the bottom so it would be nice to get it in a space where it will be used! Doesn't need to store crockery or pots/pans and toaster.
Wow, this is quite a tall order
Please help!

If you want ease of access and maximising the amount stored then you have to look at pull out drawers/shelves.
For simplicity then I would suggest 400mm deep base units with a work surface on top. If you want symmetry then 2 400mm wide units or a single 600mm units with shelving to the side.
In each base unit you could then put 2 or 3 drawers spaced according to whatever you are putting in them. If one is for spices then the drawer above can be very close whilst cereals need a larger space. By working out what goes where then you can squeeze in an additional drawer and more storage.
I always advocate IKEA ones because the runners and drawer are only £20 but unfortunately they only do them at 570mm depth where as you probably want approximately 400mm so you would have to make drawers up and fit the hinges. Isaac Lord is a good place to buy runners etc online.
Hope this helps / inspires.we have a pantry and it has to be the main storage area as the kitchen is teeny. It's a smallish square (83cm w, 88cm d, 150cm (at lowest point), h)
