Compromise Agreement Offer - What do I ask for?

I agree with LazyDaisy. As an employer, I'd be over the moon if I could pay £2k to make a defence of potential unfair dismissal and sex discrimination disappear. The amount saved on barristers, senior managers time etc would make it well worth it. Never mind the potential cost of any awards made if we lost the tribunal. It cost my company £10k in legal fees alone just to argue that a claim for unfair dismissal was out of time at a pre-hearing.

Only you can decide what to do - only you know what a reasonable amount of money is. [my opinion, not to be taken as legal advice, I'd double it if I were in your situation]

I still think you need to consider a lot more, the offer of 2 months net is a low offer they still think they can pay you off quickly/quietly.

They have paid up the basic entitlement allready so that is no longer at risk.

You have had an appeal that was rejected but the manager/director was removed soon after the appeal hearing.

I have sent this response today having spoken to ACAS. It would seem that I need to speak to a Solicitor anyway so would need some help to pay for that. I don't see why I should be footing the bill here for all the legal stuff, so I have responded with this today:

My legal bill is already in excess of £1,000 due to this redundancy situation. What are ??? willing to offer to assist with these existing costs, and any further legal advice, in addition to the commercial sum offered?
