Are French cars really that bad?

    There are only two types of cars - good cars and French cars :D
    Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

    Because they're cheap! They've been comparatively cheaper than the equivalent,ford/vauxhall and Citroen and Pug have been chucking cahsbacks and free insurance over the last few years.Pug were building them in Cov until recently and the City was awash with employee purchased cars at discount...

    They sell so well as they are subsidised to the French, and they have such ridiculous incentives to buy them here. No one would buy them for the love of getting one, if it wasn't just a finances decision.

    I've done 114000 miles in my 7 year old diesel Peugeot 307. Only needed wear and tear replacements. I love it!

    :cool: Gulp...I am just about to take delivery of a Clio via the scrappage scheme...does anyone have any positives to put my mind at rest !!!!

    Well it's a done deal so I would rather not have any negatives ...I did do research on which, whatcar etc so can't believe that noone has anything good to say ( fingers crossed )

    Yes. If by "take delivery", you mean you're the operator of the scrap yard, and about to receive the Clio to have a little bit of smash and bash fun :rotfl:

    I had a new 53 plate Megane and it was awful. I was better off walking it was in the garage so often. :eek:

    The clio is a fantastic car, utterly reliable car, never ever goes wrong.


    ( My nose has just grown about 2 foot.:D )



    The truth, they are utter junk, like all Renault's..sorry.
