Hi, I have just moved to a new rented house and i am wanting to do something with my sitting room the wallpaper that is on is a flat paper and is well stuck down so to save money i am just planning on painting over the top of it but there is a naff border running around the wall.
does anyone have any advice or tips of how to cover the edges up when i have painted i dont want to be able to see that there was ever a border there.

In short, you can't! The border stands proud of the wallpaper, so there will always be a line if you paint over. Only option is to try and carefully peel it off, but the likelyhood is that the wallpaper underneath will rip.
Are you sure you have the landlords permission to do this?
