Backing up to External Hard Drive, Spam emails?

I have an old email address which I still use as have registered on a lot of sites, including this MSE one as well. However, I get lots of spam everyday, and would rather want to close this old one and open a new email address.
1/ How do I change the associated/old email address for MSE site? (to the new email)?
2/ Create a new email address to prevent more spam?
3/ I want to transfer some files from C: to external hard drive. How do I transfer all the files but keep the original dates of creation?
[Transferring all the files only shows the date it was transferred when you click on Date modified etc]

With regard to question 3, I would point you at this old but still relevant article on Windows File Date and Time!0

2. depends on who you have your email addresses with currently. Your ISP? Go to their website and look in the FAQs.
3. depends on which OS you have. If any version up to and including XP, I'm fairly sure that if you use XCOPY at the command prompt with the /K switch it retains the attributes - try it and see (I can't as I don't use Windows).

Thanks for your help, but is there an easier option? (apart from using commands etc as I'm not a 'techie' person? I don't want to wipe out accidentally any important stuff.
Also, if the files were on 1 external drive e.g. G:, can I transfer it to other drives e.g. K: and I: without using commands but still retaining original date?
1/ The email address is yahoo, but I don't think the MSE site will allow changing of email address?0 -
Go to User CP (Control Panel) on your MSE account page -also seen at the top of this page if you are logged in - then Edit Details underneath Your Profile. You can edit/change your email address there.Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!0
