we as LLs will be charged for that as well!!!
It mat be retribution in that thet don't get to rent somewhere else (if LL's know about it), but the loss to me or you is not compensated0 -

Cheers!

I'm a landlord in Scotland and have registered with the government.
While I have received a couple of e-mails in the past few years advising of local courses available for landlords, I do personally believe that the main reasons for this is twofold: -
1) To receive an initial registration fee per property and per landlord, although to be fair the fee is a one off, quite small and probably just covers their administration costs. You can also include in your returns for tax purposes
but primarily
2) To hold a list of landlords in which they can check against of Income Tax returns.
Otherwise, I have have seen no real benefit, although of course maybe I am sheltered from any tenants benefits with this as I aim to be a very decent landlord.
I feel there is an oppertunity for a website than can be accessed by both tenants and landlords to identify as how suitable both are.
This in turn could be linked to personal properties available and help to match up good properties with good landlords with good tenants.
This could in turn incentavise LL's to be better and improve their properties.
Of course one dissadvantage for this would be to cut out EA's from charging large fee's for tenant finding services:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach.
