This can be done you need to email the webmaster I believe or just reregister with your preferred name and stop using the current one.

Thats a bit confusing nearly, as I said email Webmaster but Forum Team said email abuse, have alook at the link I posted (Im confuddled)

It used to be like that but it has changed somewhat from that now.

But it was all to Webmaster at one point, now I see abuse are taking
just normal name changes its all a bit odd, as webmaster didnt usually offer
the service of name change if the the user just wanted a name change.

Abuse aren't taking on "normal" name changes. They are only changed through the abuse address when they are accidently signed up as an email address or real name that needs to be changed to protect privacy
