Bank Charges Passed over to Debt Agency

I am 23 years old and have been chasing Abbey National for unfair bank charges on my account for over 18 months. I estimate that I am owed £2500. I have even contacted the Financial Omburdsman. I have all copies of letters, emails and phone calls that I have made to them over the past 18 months.

I recently put in a claim, again, for my unfair charges to be repaid due to financial hardship. Abbey National have now informed me that they have closed my account and passed it on to a debt recovery agency.

Can anybody please help as to what I should do next and whether Abbey National can legally do this?

FSA Waiver breach: "16. Before closing a personal current account of a customer in financial difficulty, the firm might offer the customer a basic bank account, if this is a facility that the bank offers."
Make the FOS aware that is what they have done and remember, every time a DCA calls tell them that the account is formerly in dispute which Abbey have already stated due to the OFT bank charges test case.
If they try and force the issue remind them that you will complain to the OFT as it is a breach of Debt Collection guidelines chasing a debt in dispute.
In fact, I would go one step further, ask them to take you to court and you will vehemently defend the claim(they can't win either way :D)
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

Does any one know which DCA acts for Abbey National? I have had a letter today saying my unsecured loan with them is being sold/passed to a DCA for collection. I am under a DMP with NDL paying Abbey £20 per month for the past 6 x months, have sent in SOA etc, I cannot pay any more than the £20. But i will pay them off over time, so if anyone can let me know, at least i can look out for it in the post.

    Many Thanks
