Greenhouse arrived yesterday.. amazing delivery service.. box is sitting here waiting to be built.. probably on the weekend when its warmer and I have time lol..
The backroom is looking life a forest.
Peas and sweetcorn are now about 2 inches high each!
Beetroot has just started bursting through
Carrots are looking more and more
Squash has doubled in number that have sprouted up
Cauli's now making a move..
Water melon.. still nothing yet...
i have rotated them around around the room so those which haven't sprouted yet are near the radiator
When the greenhouse is up I shall post pics..
I am thinking of moving the stuff that has grown to a good height so far into the 2 small plastic greenhouses this weekend to harden off before going into the ground.. I know they will need separating as well into slightly bigger pots..
Just cant wait for the cold to disappear.. I have bag of onions here to plant out!!
hmmm might try a few in pots when I have sorted the back out (as an experiment)God helps make my veggie patch grow. He provides everything I need.. It only fails if I do NOT do as He has told me!!

Things you do not expect to be doing at midnight!!
Separated some of the peas into bigger pots as they are mostly 3-4 inches tall..
Broccoli has been separated into bigger deeper pots as well...
still have loads to do but too dark
pics to follow on monday!!God helps make my veggie patch grow. He provides everything I need.. It only fails if I do NOT do as He has told me!!

Massive update on layout of patch!!! Spent most of this morning in the garden shifting ready for good weather!

These are images of the seedlings currently growing..
Greenhouse:

If you look at the lastest layout where the tomatos are suppose to be.. this space is now GONE.. replaced by a 6ft long walk in plastic greenhouse..
With the greenhouse flooring since it is suppose to be in concrete I have decided to leave it as dirt.. reason.. I can then grow things in the soil straight away..
yes it is very weighted down with bricks and soil around the base of the greenhouse..
Still have not got around to separating all the seedlings yet.. this is an afternoon job..
lunch now and then chill for a little time .. more info to follow
Also will look at what else can be planted this month and start them off.. also this list will follow later

Experiment time again:
I have planted out 4 tomato plants.. into the base of the greenhouse soil (greenhouse is on soil not concrete)... and feeding them with tomato plant food..
Have made a list of seeds to be sown in the next 2-3 weeks
Tip: Just make sure the quantity you sow as seedlings you have space for IF/WHEN the weather is bad... you may get stuck with them in the house/greenhouse and not be able to plant them outside... plan your sowing carefullyGod helps make my veggie patch grow. short update...
Warning.. Slugs are about so be prepared!
Warning.. Next 2 weeks the weather will be colder than it has been so protect your veggies!!
Had an accident in the backroom as some of the seedlings fell off the table..
lost a little bit of stuff..
Replanted a new lot of things (list to follow)
Good idea for some protection is taking 2l plastic pop bottles.. cutting them in half and covering your veggies.. also cheap

Ok... lesson learning time again for me...
On the 21/3 posting..
Peas are growing well.. (so good choice to plant out)
Sweetcorn - all gone (bad move to plant out.. should have put under cloches??)
Radishes - (sowed into ground directly.. growing well.. good choice!)
Spring Onions - (sown straight into ground - just started growing)
Lettuce - all dead (bad move.. cloches or kept in greenhouse longer??)
Cauli - all dead (see lettuce thoughts)
Pumps - 1 left from 4 (too early? - lettuce thoughts)
Cucumbers - all dead (too early? - lettuce thoughts)
Pics of all new things which have been sown recently are to come in next couple of days...
Also there are NON edible things in my greenhouse!! I have *flowers* aarrghhh but it is for a good cause for the church

Planted 50 onions this morning.. Straight into the patch
Planted 1/2 packet of Early Carrots (tried planting some straight into the bottom of the greenhouse soil as an experiment!) will keep updated on this!
Planted 12 Cucumbers in trays in the backroom
Planted 12 squash in trays in the backroom..
All my asparagus I planted 1-2 years ago died.. no idea why they never started.. will have to read into it as it was the first time I tried them...
Managed to scavenge a nice size pane of glass to place over some of the patch to act as a magnifier for the sun! (hopefully - my thinking pattern is the same as a greenhouse on this matter!)
Greenhouse is full of stuff ready to go out.. which is going to be planted out tomorrow and monday.. will update the image of the layout once done!
flower things for church are doing well... 1/2 have flowers and the rest are getting there.. hopefully they will go back to church and be used for hanging baskets to give the local community who live around church to show them Christians are NOT unapproachable people.. and we are human lol
One thing that has confused me is that, since I never really kept a proper list of what I planted out and when last year. along with the results I am so up in the air about how this year is going now!! Make sure you keep notes!!!! They DO helpGod helps make my veggie patch grow. He provides everything I need.. It only fails if I do NOT do as He has told me!!
