Tesco "Discount Brands"

Personally, I avoid those brands but do buy some products in the Value range. I've tried a few of the 'discounters' and find the quality is dreadful. Not sure why they introduced it when they already have a perfectly adequate range with 'Value'.
The cynic in me thinks they are actually cashing in on the recession by pricing the discounters higher than Value, or producing it more cheaply.;)
But the discounter brand are just the value brand in pretty packaging. You have successfully shown that brands are all in our heads and there are no or little difference between them.0 -
i just look at the price per 100g/kg for all options and take that. but with meat i also check for dodgy polish sausages and mechanically recovered meats, never buy those ones!Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000
