Costume Jewellery for pennies

Seriosuly, we are selling a load of books at the moment for 99p listing (and lots of other stuff) as we do not rip off on the postage costs we are just about breaking even with the ebay and paypal charges (or making around 50p max per book). But it means we are getting rid of the stuff, someone will enjoy their purchase and we don't have to pay £100 + for another skip.
And the 60p's do add up. Look after the pennies..... and all that .....:j
More seriosuly though, I don't think some people understand all the fees involved. When we ebayed a lot I had a spreadsheet and a £1 sale made less than 20p at that time. This was based on an expected double listing fee, as things didn't usually sell 1st time and we always worked with caution, allowing for four listings. (2 paid and 2 free)
As you know ebay charge a listing fee, final fee, paypal minimum fee etc., We knew people were buying the same products as us, from the wholesalers and selling them at a loss.
Thats great, but these people are selling items for 1p with no postage. So therefore after fees they must have been selling for a loss. Why would anyone do that? The only thing I can think of is that it is not genuine. I also don't think you would need a skip for a few bits of costume jewellry:rolleyes:“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”:D0
