mouse scroll wheel not working

I have just downloaded Opera because I was advised that it was a much quicker/better browser than IE. Whilst it is certainly quicker, the mouse scroll wheel does not appear to work. This is strange because the other Opera "mouse gesture" functions appear to work, anyone got any ideas why this should be? ???

Could depend on the mouse and operating system.
Some mice need drivers / software for the wheel under 9x.Hug provider for depression thread :grouphug:

with opera by default you need to actually press the mouse wheel as if you were clickign it and then scroll.
Alterantively use Mozilla, its better and easier
